Our Philosophy

We believe that financial stewardship is a quiet, deliberate act.

At Vance & Associates, we build enduring frameworks that allow small businesses and individuals to navigate complex tax and accounting landscapes with complete clarity. We operate under the conviction that true expertise speaks in a quiet voice, delivering order where there is complexity and foresight where there is uncertainty.

The Approach

A study in focus, precision, and longevity.

Founded in 1996, Vance & Associates, CPA, P.C. was established to bridge the gap between institutional technical expertise and the intimate, attentive service of a boutique local partner. We believe that financial leadership is not an seasonal transaction, but an ongoing collaborative narrative.

Serving Montgomery County, Philadelphia, and the surrounding areas, we design systems that integrate strategic tax preparation, cash flow management, and virtual CFO services into a single, cohesive engine. By forecasting liabilities month-by-month and requesting proactive reserves, we shield our clients from the sudden friction of year-end surprises.

We reject the industry trend toward automated mass-production. Our clients receive deliberate, expert advice crafted for their specific realities. In every engagement, our goal is simply to help businesses grow more resilient, more self-determined, and more successful.

Leadership

Dean Vance, CPA

Principal & Founder

Dean brings over 22 years of disciplined tax and accounting experience to the firm he started in 1996. His practice is grounded in a deep expertise across tax consulting, small business growth strategies, and rigorous profit planning.

An alumnus of St. Joseph's University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Dean continued his formal study of the tax code within Drexel University’s Master’s in Taxation program. Over more than two decades, he has kept the firm aligned with evolving state and federal structures, maintaining membership and active involvement with the Professional Association of Small Business Accountants (PASBA).

Beyond the ledger, Dean’s perspective is shaped by civic involvement—having served on the boards of non-profits in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties—and quiet personal pursuits. He is an avid reader of the classics, American history, and philosophy, and is a dedicated golfer.

Foundations

The Standards We Keep

01

Total Liability Awareness

We coordinate monthly assessments to track, log, and isolate tax reserves, completely eliminating year-end financial surprises.

02

Restrained, Attentive Scale

We purposely limit our client portfolio to ensure our advisory services are deeply customized, specific, and unhurried.

03

Active Financial Leadership

Rather than simply processing historical data, we provide prospective analysis—functioning as your external Virtual CFO.
